‘Golmaal 5’ Release Date Announced; Ajay Devgn to Return with Rohit Shetty’s Comedy Franchise

Ajay Devgn’s fans have received both disappointing and exciting news. According to reports, the release of his much-anticipated film ‘Ranger’ has been postponed. At the same time, the release date of ‘Golmaal 5’, the fifth instalment of Rohit Shetty’s popular comedy franchise ‘Golmaal’, has been finalised. Ajay Devgn will once again be seen entertaining audiences on the big screen.

‘Ranger’ to Release After Eid in March 2027

According to reports, ‘Ranger’, directed by Jagan Shakti, was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on December 4, 2026. The film is now reportedly slated for release after Eid in March 2027. Produced by Luv Ranjan, the jungle-adventure film will feature Ajay Devgn as a forest officer tasked with protecting lions. Sanjay Dutt and Tamannaah Bhatia also play key roles in the film.

‘Golmaal 5’ to Arrive on January 8, 2027

Meanwhile, the release date of ‘Golmaal 5’, directed by Rohit Shetty, has been finalised. The film will arrive in theatres on January 8, 2027. This time, Akshay Kumar will also join the ‘Golmaal’ gang alongside Ajay Devgn. The film will also feature Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor and Sharman Joshi. Reports indicate that filming is scheduled to begin in 2026.

‘Golmaal’ Franchise to Return After Nearly a Decade

‘Golmaal 5’ will mark the return of the popular franchise nearly a decade after its previous instalment. ‘Golmaal Again’ was released in 2017. The franchise began in 2006 with ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’, followed by ‘Golmaal Returns’ in 2008 and ‘Golmaal 3’ in 2010.

With the fifth instalment, Rohit Shetty is set to bring his much-loved comedy ensemble back to the big screen, with Ajay Devgn once again leading the franchise.
